Volunteers are required to help out at the 2025 Harbury Beer Festival, our 32nd, which is the Branch’s biggest public event of the year and requires support from our members to function successfully.
The Volunteer Staffing Form is available at the bottom of this page. We need volunteers to help set up and take down as well as working during the festival opening hours. Shifts available are on the form.
If you can only help for part of a session, add your availability in the comments box. Even a couple of hours during open times are a great help. We are also pleased to accept non-members’ help, so if any of your friends would like to help, even for a limited time, please forward the form to them.
Tasks will be allocated as required, and on a first-received basis. In open sessions it is not possible to guarantee work in one area but requests will be accommodated where possible. We know there is some friendly rivalry between the left and right bars, so if you have a preference let us know in the comments. If there is a particular area you do not wish to (or cannot) work in please give details in the comments.
Training is mandatory for all volunteers and there will be a staff training session from 19:30-21:45 on Thursday 28 August so please make every effort to attend this session. Beer and cider tasting will be available for those attending and it is also a great opportunity to meet fellow volunteers. If you cannot attend please let us know in the comments or by email/text (see below) and arrive 20 minutes before your first working session for briefing purposes.
Please submit the form ASAP and by 31 July at the latest. When you submit the form a confirmation email will automatically be sent to you. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the confirmation. If you have any questions please send an email to hbfstaffing@how.camra.org.uk.
If your circumstances subsequently change please let us know by email at hbfstaffing@how.camra.org.uk or call/text 07734 947036.
Staff incentives
- Free festival beer and cider.
- An allocation of bottled beer to take home, depending on number of hours worked.
- A £5 food voucher will be provided for those working two or more 3-hour shifts in one day.
- A free commemorative festival glass (subject to availability) will be issued to anyone who has worked on both Friday and Saturday (glass to be collected when leaving the festival on Saturday).
Transport Home
Minibuses will be organised to Leamington and Warwick for volunteers working the Friday or Saturday evening sessions. Volunteers living elsewhere will need to make their own arrangements but taxi fares to destinations within the branch area can be reclaimed from the Branch Treasurer on production of a receipt. The first minibus will run at approx. 23:45 after we have tidied up. To help us plan this service, please tick the box on the form below if you will definitely want transport home and ensure you provide the drop-off address.
Post Festival Trip
Free transport will be provided for a post-festival trip, for example a visit to a beer festival or brewery.
