The Harbury Beer & Cider Festival

The Harbury Beer & Cider Festival has taken place since 1991, with just three missed years, on the Friday and Saturday following the August Bank Holiday Monday in Harbury Village Hall. Every year the festival has a different theme.

DATES

The 2025 Harbury Beer & Cider Festival will be our 32nd festival and promises to be a very special occasion so please reserve 29 & 30 August 2024 in your diary.

Friday 29 August 2025:  11:00 – 23:00 (note extended opening hours)
Saturday 30 August 2025: 11:00 – 23:00

THEME

We will have around 30 different beers, mostly from Mid Derbyshire, with a few from some of our best local breweries. For lovers of apples and pears there will also be a selection of around 15 ciders and perries for you to enjoy.

COST

Festival entry on the door costs £20 for single-day entry or £35 for two-day entry (see below for savings you can make by buying advance tickets). For this you get:

  • £12 (£12 each day if you buy a two-day ticket) of beer/cider tokens, or £15 (£15 each day if you buy a two-day ticket) for CAMRA members on production of a membership card. Unused tokens are refundable or can be donated to charity. Additional tokens are available to buy on the door.
  • a choice of a commemorative festival glass (while stocks last) or a glass of your choice from a previous festival. The glass is yours to take home. Additional glasses can be purchased for £4. If you buy a weekend ticket you must bring your glass back with you on the Saturday.
  • a festival programme with detailed tasting notes of all the beers and ciders.
  • a display from the Hereburgh Morris Dancers on the Saturday afternoon and, for the third year running, live music from the brilliant local covers band Muve-On at 8pm on the Saturday evening.

Card payments are preferred but you can also pay by cash.

ADVANCE TICKETS

Tickets are always available on the door, but you will also have the opportunity to buy advance tickets. Advantages are:

  • tickets are £18 for single-day entry or £33 for a two-day entry, a £2 saving compared to buying on the door.
  • a guaranteed commemorative festival glass (if you choose a Souvenir Pint Glass ticket option) – these are only available while stocks last to on the door entrants.

There is a limited number of advance tickets and the store closes one hour before the doors open, or earlier if sold out, so you are advised to book early.

OTHER INFORMATION
  • we offer free entry and two free soft drinks to designated drivers.
  • we operate a Challenge 21 policy, so please ensure you bring ID if necessary.
  • children are welcome in the hall before 19:00 and the area outside the festival at any time, but are not allowed in the bar area.
  • you are welcome to bring games to keep children entertained and there is a large field and playground behind the hall.
  • there is a food and soft drinks outlet in the hall which is operated by a third party which takes cards and cash.

VOLUNTEERING
